A major update to the demo!
The Cult of Shadows demo was met with tremendous interest, and some of the players shared their feedback with us. We took all the suggestions and feedback into consideration and got to work! Below is a short list of changes. Major balance changes: - reduced enemy spawns, - increased enemy health, - reduced item drop rates by 66%, - reduced item upgrade costs, - improved most skills (effects, usage costs, cooldowns, etc.) Quality of Life: - improved tooltip clarity (e.g., numerical unit descriptions compliant with US standards), - added a loading screen with tooltips, - the attribute menu can be closed again by clicking the attribute menu open button (previously only ESC), - improved item drop distance (they should no longer float in the air), - added a help menu in the crafting panel (bottom left corner of each item), - added tutorials at the beginning of the game (after resetting progress) in the character and crafting windows, - added more tooltips, - thanks are only displayed once (when no progress is made), Gameplay: - when When movement is set to WASD, all skills are executed in the direction of movement (previously, this worked in the direction of the cursor). - Roll always moves in the "WSAD" direction, and aiming is performed with the mouse (1:1, like in PoE2). - Enemy AI has been improved – they no longer freeze, make strange ticks, etc. - Gameplay has been shortened to 20 minutes, and boss and mini-boss spawns and enemy scaling have been adjusted to the shortened format.
